4/14/2005 Alexandria, LA – The Southern University Jaguars golf team ended the 2005 Southwestern Athletic Conference Golf championships five strokes shy of third place to come in fourth and end their season. “Why they didn’t shoot the first two rounds of the tournament like they shot today,” said head coach Willie Williams. “If we would have shot like that all year we would have done better in a lot of tournaments.” Southern shot a 305 their best round during the championship. They were led by sophomore Lee Njoroge who shot a 75 to go along with his 76 in the first round and 79 in the second for a total of 230 for the tournament.
