Josephine Ainley (76 and 78 for +10, 154) shot a +10, 154 over two days to finish in second place, to pace the Southern Jaguars Women's Golf team to a fourth place finish in the 2006 SWAC Golf Championships played at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

The Jackson State Lady Tigers captured the 2006 SWAC Women's Golf Championship,

The JSU Lady Tigers completed the two-day event with a score of 632, 33 strokes ahead of second place Alcorn state (665). Texas Southern was third (732), while the Lady Jaguars were fourth (734), and Arkansas-Pine Bluff Rounded out the top five with a score of 742.

Southern's Brittny Bryant finished 13th overall (93-89, 182, +38) and Brittany Beard finished 19th (98-96, 194, +50).
