SOUTHERN TENNIS TO HOST SWAC CHALLENGE

Baton Rouge, LA – The Southern University Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams will play host on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 17-19 to the SWAC Tennis Challenge. The Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division round up will be played on the University Courts and at Greenwood Park in Baker, LA.

The Southern men (1-5) and Southern women (1-8) will look to once again dominate the SWAC when they open up play tomorrow, March 17th at 9:00 a.m. as they go into their first conference match win against Texas Southern University. The Jaguars will see action again at 1:30 p.m. when they play Prairie View A&M University.

On Friday, March 18, the Jaguars will play host to Arkansas-Pine Bluff in their only match of the day.

On Saturday, March 19th conference rival Grambling State University will be SU’s opponent in the final match of the round-up. That contest will begin at 1:00 p.m. All of Southern’s contest will be played at the University courts.
