BATON ROUGE -- The 49th Annual Davenport/Milburn Pelican
Relays will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at AW Mumford Stadium on Roscoe
Moore Track.
Seven collegiate women's and men's teams, along with 11 high school girls and boys track teams are set to participate in this annual event at Southern University. The Davenport/Milburn Pelican Relays, usually a 2-day event, is in its second year as a scaled down event. The Davenport/Milburn Pelican Relays were scaled down to one day last year, the first since the inaugural Pelican Relays, 48 years ago.
