SOUTHERN JAGUARS BASEBALL CHOSEN TO REPEAT AS HBCU NATIONAL CHAMPIONS



Roger Cador has amassed 632 victories and 13 SWAC Tournament Titles in his Southern tenure as head coach.

Southern University has been chosen to repeat as Black College National Baseball Champions, as released in the blackcollegebaseball.com 2006 preseason baseball poll.

The Southern University Jaguars are coming off of another successful season "on the bluff" under legendary head coach, Roger Cador. The Jags finished 29-18 last season, in route to another SWAC Championship and NCAA Regional appearance in the New Orleans Regional hosted by Tulane.

The Southern Jaguars open the 2006 baseball season on February 10th, when they host the University of Southern Arkansas in a two day series starting at 1:00 p.m. in the newly renovated Lee-Hines Baseball Stadium.
