The Southern University Jaguars baseball team will welcome the SWAC leading, Prairie View A&M Panthers to Lee-Hines Baseball stadium for a key 3-game series that begins Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with a double-header. The series will conclude with a 9-inning game on Sunday, starting at 1:00 p.m.

Southern (9-11, 6-3) and Prairie View A&M (19-8, 8-1 SWAC) each won two games on their own fields against the other last season, and each dropped one game.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools since last season's two-day marathon in the SWAC Championship. Southern took two of three from PVAMU in the SWAC Tourney.

Also, all displaced residents still residing in the Baton Rouge area that can show proof of residence from an area hard hit by Hurricane's Katrina and Rita, will also be admitted free of charge for the rest of the season.
