Demarcus Coats was named Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his performace last week on the diamond.

Coats, a senior outfielder from Texarkana, TX, played in four games, helping the Jaguars to a 4-0 (3-0 SWAC) week. He hit for a .643 avg. (9-14) with 1 double , 2 triples, 1 home run and 7 RBIs. On the week, he led the SWAC in hits (9), runs scored (7), triples (2) and total bases (17). He finished the week with a .722 OB% and a 1.214 Slugging %.
