Southern University head baseball coach, Roger Cador, has
announced the signing of nine baseball student-athletes for the 2006-07 school
year.
"We concentrated on some needs this recruiting season, and were able to sign some top-quality players for next season," says Cador. "We got some good arms and a coupel of cartchers that we feel can come in and contribute right away", added Cador. Heading the list is: Cedric Hunter (6-0, 190, OF, Martin Luther King HS, Decatur, GA) who is currently listed on Baseball America's top 100 list at 59. Hunter batted .565 with 12 home runs, 21 rbi's and 20 stolen bases this past season. He also walked 28 times, while striking out a mere two times. He also had a staggering 1.160 slugging percentage.
