The Southern University Department of Athletics would like
to extend its deepest sympathy to the Robinson and Grambling State families
as they mourn the loss of the Legendary Eddie Robinson.
As the torch burns out on such a great life, it is in these times that perseverance and adversity finds harmony. May the life lessons taught to us by the great Coach Robinson and God's blessings bring the family peace during this time. Coach Robinson was more than just a coach -- He was a
living legend that embodies what we try to do in all of our athletic departments
and with our football teams -- That is making productive American citizens
from the student-athletes we come into contact with everyday.
