BATON ROUGE -- Southern University's annual Football Fan Day is set for Saturday, Aug. 23 at A.W. Mumford Stadium.

The Football Fan Day activities will kick off at approximately 9 a.m., with the last open scrimmage before the Aug. 30th kickoff versus the University of Houston. All activities will be held in the south endzone of the stadium (opposite construction).

Festivities will end at 1 p.m.

Fans will be able to meet the 2008 Southern Jaguars, the SU cheerleaders and the Southern "Human Jukebox" Marching Band. The football team, along with head coach PETE RICHARDSON and his coaching staff, will be available for autographs and photos.

As an added bonus, Fan Day participants will receive SU football posters.

Other activities include a car and motorcycle show and a chance to meet the new SUBR Chancellor Dr. Kofi Lomotey.

Light snacks and drinks will also be available.
