BATON ROUGE -- There has been no change in the scheduled start time for Southern's season opening football game against the University of Houston on Saturday at this time. The game is still slated to kickoff at 6 p.m.

Southern officials, in cooperation with state and local agencies, continue to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Gustav.

The Southern Sports Information Office will continue to update fans on any changes via the news media and on this page should conditions warrant it.
