Homecoming 2008 is here and the Southern Jaguars are set to take on the up and coming Tigers of Texas Southern University.

Southern has been on a roll when it comes to taking on the Tigers of Texas Southern. Southern has won 11 straight games in the series, dating back to the 1996 season.

Southern is coming off of huge 35-28 win over the Jackson State Tigers last weekend. The "Jaguar Nation" was in full force in Jackson, MS, as 42,513 fans watched the Jags roll up 415 total yards, and Juamorris Stewart had a career night with 179 receiving yards and two big scores.

Texas Southern is coming off of a 63-39 loss to Texas State last week, but Tiger QB Bobby Reid passed for 481 yards on 38 of 64 pass attempts in being named SWAC offensive Player of the Week.
