Baton Rouge, LA - Southern University's junior guard Diedra Jackson was named to the All-Louisiana third team for the first time in her career.

Jackson ended the 2007-2008 season leading the team in points with 12.4 per game. The Amite, LA native also finished eighth in scoring in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The former All-Louisiana All-Star led the team in minutes played with 619 averaging 29.5 per game. She made her way into the SU women's basketball record book by scoring a career best 34 points versus Alabama State University. She also recorded her first double double of her career with 13 points and 10 rebounds versus Alabama A&M University.
