Baton Rouge, LA - In took eight innings to decide a winner today at Lady Jaguar Field. It also took an error to decide the outcome. Southern's Tiffany Darville scored the lone and winning run to give the Lady Jaguars their 22nd victory of the season.

Southern (22-16) pitcher Lanaya Jenkins struck out six and gave up three hits to earn her ninth victory of the year. Darville scored in the bottom of the eighth inning when Southeastern Louisiana University's catcher Heather Grivas let a 1- 2 count pitch get by her.

The win gives SU confidence as they head into their final regular season games of the year when the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff visits this Friday and Saturday, April 18th and 19th. Game time for Friday's game is set for 3:00 pm. Saturday's game will begin at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
